An Act to revise provisions providing that certain professions are not subject to discipline for certain conduct relating to medical cannabis.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:
Section 1. That § 34-20G-6 be AMENDED:

attorney
person
licensed by the state or any other governmental entity to engage in
any profession, occupation, or other activity is
subject to disciplinary action by
the State Bar of South Dakota or other professional licensing
association for providing legal assistance to a prospective or
registered medical cannabis establishment or other related to ,
denial of the rights and privileges of such license, or otherwise
penalized by the licensing authority for lawfully engaging in any
activity authorized under this chapter or providing any service to a
person engaged in activity
that is not
subject to criminal penalties under law of this state
authorized by this chapter merely because that activity is prohibited
by federal law.
