" insert " Except as provided in section 2 of this Act, the council may not enter into any contract or transaction with any firm or business in which a council member serves as a principal, shareholder, trustee, director, officer, employee, agent, or independent contractor. ".

     On page 1 , delete line 14 , and insert "The provisions of this Act do not prohibit a transaction that:".

     On page 1 , line 15, delete " The benefits of the transaction affect " and insert "Affects".

     On page 2 , line 3, delete " The benefits of the transaction affect " and insert "Affects".

     On page 2 , line 6, delete " The transaction involves " and insert "Involves".

     On page 2 , delete lines 14 to 18 , inclusive.
