Wayne Carney, Executive Director, South Dakota Activities Association will present an overview of his department.

         HB 1004     require the Department of Education to provide for computer access for certain rural attendance centers in South Dakota and to make an appropriation therefor.
             Representatives Deadrick (Thomas), Bartling, Bradford, Buckingham, Dykstra, Elliott, Heineman, Juhnke, LaRue, McLaughlin, Peterson (Jim), Teupel, and Van Gerpen and Senators Duenwald and Koskan at the request of the Interim Committee on School District Educational Equality and Organization

         HB 1106     repeal the requirement that school districts operate secondary schools and to place certain financial requirements on school districts that do not operate secondary schools.
             Representatives Begalka, Peterson (Jim), and Rhoden and Senators Diedrich (Larry), Kooistra, and Symens

NOTE: The above bills will be taken up in this order for a hearing on the date noted. If circumstances do not permit a hearing on this date then a hearing will be held at a future meeting of the committee to be determined by the chair. Action on a bill may come at any time after it has had a hearing.
