         HB 1119     revise certain eligibility restrictions relating to secondary school extracurricular activities.

         HCR 1007     Urging the Public Utilities Commission, Qwest Corporation, and the Federal Communications Commission to proceed as quickly as possible with the process of allowing Qwest Corporation to provide interstate telecommunications services in South Dakota.

         HB 1227     prohibit the faxing or e-mailing of unsolicited advertising materials.

         HB 1287     increase funding for education, to reduce state government reliance on lottery proceeds, and to revise the distribution of lottery proceeds.

         HB 1303     revise the Governor's emergency powers in the event of a terrorist or bioterrorist attack.

         HB 1304     revise the emergency powers of the Department of Health.

         HB 1305     define terrorism, to create the crime of terrorism, and to provide a penalty therefor.

NOTE: The above bills will be taken up in this order for a hearing on the date noted. If circumstances do not permit a hearing on this date then a hearing will be held at a future meeting of the committee to be determined by the chair. Action on a bill may come at any time after it has had a hearing.
