         HB 1001     provide for a basic high school program and a recommended high school program and to require most students to complete the recommended one.
             Representatives Heineman, Bartling, Bradford, Buckingham, Deadrick (Thomas), Dykstra, Elliott, Juhnke, LaRue, McLaughlin, Peterson (Jim), Solum, and Teupel and Senators Duenwald and Koskan at the request of the Interim Committee on School District Educational Equality and Organization

         HB 1002     require schools to offer a core curriculum in order to meet state accreditation standards.
             Representatives Deadrick (Thomas), Bartling, Bradford, Buckingham, Dykstra, Elliott, Heineman, Juhnke, LaRue, McLaughlin, and Teupel and Senators Duenwald and Koskan at the request of the Interim Committee on School District Educational Equality and Organization

         HB 1253     increase the minimum number of hours in a school term.
             Representatives Garnos, Hennies, and McLaughlin and Senator Kooistra

         HB 1252     revise the distribution of certain school district revenues.
             Representatives Buckingham, LaRue, McLaughlin, and Peterson (Bill) and Senators McCracken, Duniphan, and Olson (Ed)

NOTE: The above bills will be taken up in this order for a hearing on the date noted. If circumstances do not permit a hearing on this date then a hearing will be held at a future meeting of the committee to be determined by the chair. Action on a bill may come at any time after it has had a hearing.

         HB 1140     apply certain teaching experience toward student teaching requirements.

         HB 1254     increase the general fund balance percentage for school districts in calculating state aid to education penalties.
