         HB 1230     require children to attend school until the age of eighteen or until graduation from high school.

         HB 1221     require certain publishers to provide electronic versions of textbooks suitable for conversion into Braille.

         HB 1240     require that public schools begin the regular school term after Labor Day.

NOTE: The above bills will be taken up in this order for a hearing on the date noted. If circumstances do not permit a hearing on this date then a hearing will be held at a future meeting of the committee to be determined by the chair. Action on a bill may come at any time after it has had a hearing.

         HB 1140     apply certain teaching experience toward student teaching requirements.

         HB 1254     increase the general fund balance percentage for school districts in calculating state aid to education penalties.
