A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION, Honoring Mrs. Renita Dose of Lennox Middle
School for receiving School Band and Orchestra magazine's "50 Directors Who Make a
Difference" award.
WHEREAS,
School Band and Orchestra magazine selects one instructor from each state
to receive this honor. Mrs. Dose was nominated by her peers at Lennox Middle School; and
WHEREAS, while attending middle school at Lake Preston, Mrs. Dose learned to play the
flute which became a lifelong passion; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Dose received her degree from Augustana College despite many
obstacles; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Dose started her teaching career at Howard High School, where she
worked for two years before accepting her current position at Lennox Middle School; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Dose has been teaching at Lennox Middle School for the last thirty-three
years and has recently decided to retire:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the Eighty-Eighth Legislature of the
State of South Dakota, that Mrs. Renita Dose be honored for receiving School Band and
Orchestra magazine's "50 Directors Who Make a Difference" award.
