AN ACT

        ENTITLED, An Act to revise certain provisions regarding the examination for an application for a funeral service license.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
    Section 1. That § 36-19-20 be amended to read as follows:
    36-19-20. Any person desiring to obtain a license to practice funeral service under this chapter shall make application to the State Board of Funeral Service. The application shall contain such information as the board may require and be upon a form prepared by the board. Upon receipt of the application, the board shall fix a date and place for the examination of the applicant of which notice shall be given to the applicant by mail. At such time and place, a designee of the board, a board member, or a board staff member selected by a majority of the board shall proceed to examine the applicant under such rules the board may promulgate pursuant to chapter 1-26.
