        FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to authorize the Department of Revenue to provide certain lists to other state agencies.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
    Section 1. That chapter 10-1 be amended by adding thereto a NEW SECTION to read as follows:
    Notwithstanding the provisions of § 10-1-28.2, the secretary may, in the secretary's sole discretion, share lists of taxpayers, licensees, or applicants, with other state government agencies if the head of the other state government agency requests the information in writing from the secretary specifying the particular information desired and the specific activity for which the information is sought. Any list provided by this section may only be used to the extent necessary to carry out the official duties of the requesting state government agency. Any state government agency receiving this information shall hold the information confidential.
