        A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION, Congratulating Aberdeen, South Dakota, for its recognition as one of the 100 Best Communities for Young People.

    WHEREAS, America's Promise Alliance, sponsored by ING, annually recognizes communities that provide outstanding services and supports to their youth; and

    WHEREAS, Aberdeen was recognized in 2011 as one of the 100 Best Communities for Young People by America's Promise Alliance and ING, the only community in South Dakota recognized for this distinction in 2011; and

    WHEREAS, Aberdeen's community profile highlighting the work recognized by the America's Promise Alliance and ING is very extensive and crosses all community lines and boundaries:

    NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the Eighty-seventh Legislature of the State of South Dakota, that Aberdeen, South Dakota, be congratulated and honored for again being one of the 100 Best Communities for Young People and for putting Aberdeen and South Dakota in the national headlines.
