        FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to reduce the period of time necessary to cure and validate certain adoption proceedings.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
    Section 1. That § 25-6-21 be amended to read as follows:
    25-6-21. Except in any case involving fraud, any proceeding for the adoption of a child commenced under chapter 25-6 shall be in all things legalized, cured, and validated two years one year after the proceeding is finalized. If any person has a claim or right arising from any adoption proceeding, that person must shall initiate any action to enforce such right or claim within two years one year of the date when the proceeding is finalized.
