        FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to revise the definition of firearm to include certain muzzle-loading and black powder weapons.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
    Section 1. That subdivision (16) of § 22-1-2 be amended to read as follows:
            (16)    "Firearm," any weapon from which a projectile or projectiles may be discharged by gunpowder. As used in this subdivision, the term, gunpowder, includes any propellant, including black powder, that upon oxidization emits heat and light and is commonly used in firearms cartridges rifles, shotguns, and pistols. The term, firearm, includes muzzle-loading rifles, shotguns, and pistols;
