         HB 1048     make threatening court services officers a crime
             The Committee on Judiciary at the request of the Chief Justice

         HB 1049     invest the court with discretion to provide for the overnight supervision of juries.
             The Committee on Judiciary at the request of the Chief Justice

         HB 1050     repeal certain provisions investing magistrates with coroner duties.
             The Committee on Judiciary at the request of the Chief Justice

         HB 1051     make sliming court services officers or employees a crime.
             The Committee on Judiciary at the request of the Chief Justice

         HB 1052     provide for the accommodation of both electronic and manual jury draw processes.
             The Committee on Judiciary at the request of the Chief Justice

         HB 1053     provide for the centralization and computerization of certain jury selection processes.
             The Committee on Judiciary at the request of the Chief Justice

         HB 1054     require background checks for applicants seeking admission to the State Bar of South Dakota.
             The Committee on Judiciary at the request of the Chief Justice

         HB 1055     revise the authority of magistrate courts and to revise certain provisions pertaining thereto.
             The Committee on Judiciary at the request of the Chief Justice

NOTE: The above bills will be taken up in this order for a hearing on the date noted. If circumstances do not permit a hearing on this date then a hearing will be held at a future meeting of the committee to be determined by the chair. Action on a bill may come at any time after it has had a hearing.
