Section 1. There is hereby established a minimum wage task force. The task force shall study the
potential effect on workers and businesses of the state of an increase in the state minimum wage. The
task force shall also explore the advantages and disadvantages of the state minimum wage being the
same as the federal minimum wage. The task force shall make its recommendations to the 2003
Legislature. The task force shall be appointed by the Governor and shall represent various
occupations within South Dakota."
