MOTIONS AND RESOLUTIONS

SB 33 *    (Consideration of House Amendment, HJ 698) revise certain provisions regarding permission to carry a concealed pistol and to repeal certain requirements concerning applications to purchase a pistol.
SB 36 *    (Consideration of House Amendment, HJ 618) revise certain drug registration fees and license fees related to health care facilities.
SB 42 *    (Consideration of House Amendment, HJ 697) impose the sales tax on the gross receipts derived from renting mini-storage units, self-storage units, or storage space and the use tax on the use of mini-storage units, self-storage units, or storage space.
     Provide an application deadline for sales and use tax refunds regarding certain storage facilities.
SB 50 *    (Consideration of House Amendments, HJ 699, 700, 701, 702, 703, 704, 705, 706, 707, 708, 709) revise the General Appropriations Act for fiscal year 2009.
SB 68 *    (Consideration of House Amendment, HJ 694) authorize the establishment, operation, and control of research parks on state land in Sioux Falls.
SB 72 *    (Consideration of House Amendment, HJ 687) make an appropriation to initiate a master of social work degree program in higher education.
SB 74 *    (Consideration of House Amendments, HJ 754, 755) direct the Office of the Attorney General to study the creation of a state medical examiner system.
SB 78 *    (Consideration of House Amendment, HJ 698) revise the mandatory retirement age of judges of the Supreme Court and circuit court.
     Provide for a plan to be presented to the Legislature regarding the need for additional drug courts and certain other correctional issues.
SB 80 *    (Consideration of House Amendment, HJ 599) revise the property tax levies for the general fund of a school district.


SB 106 *    (Consideration of House Amendments, HJ 575, 725, 726) revise the index factor in the state aid to general education formula, to set a maximum per student allocation for school districts with an excess general fund balance, and to require the Legislature to estimate general fund revenues for the current fiscal year and the next fiscal year.
     Enhance education in South Dakota.
     Revise certain provisions regarding the distribution of funds to sparse school districts, and to appropriate funds to distribute to sparse school districts.
SB 117 *    (Consideration of House Amendments, HJ 709, 710) appropriate funds to the postsecondary technical institutes for program enhancement.
     Revise certain budgetary provisions relating to certain funds received from the federal government.
SB 144 *    (Consideration of House Amendment, HJ 694) require all state contracts to be listed on the OPEN SD website.
     Require certain contracts to be retained and made available by a publicly accessible internet website or database.
     Require certain contracts to be retained in the contract's original format or made available by a publicly accessible internet website or database.
SB 147 *    (Consideration of House Amendments, HJ 695, 696) provide for public access to public records, to provide certain exemptions, and to provide for judicial remedies for noncompliance.
SB 153 *    (Consideration of House Amendments, HJ 649, 650) provide procedures by which adopted persons may obtain their original birth certificates and the contact preference of birth parents.
SB 186 *    (Consideration of House Amendment, HJ 686) provide for the imposition of a late payment fee for unpaid child support.
     Provide for the imposition of a late payment fee for certain chronically delinquent child support obligations.

CONSIDERATION OF REPORT OF CONFERENCE COMMITTEE

HB 1239     (SJ 720) create the South Dakota Boxing Commission and to provide for the supervision of boxing, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts competitions and sparring exhibitions in the state.
