CONSIDERATION OF EXECUTIVE VETOES

HB 1197     (Veto letter HJ 734 - 736) allow single-family dwellings that are under construction or listed for sale by contractors to be classified as owner-occupied single-family dwellings for the purpose of taxation.

HB 1070 *    (Consideration of Senate amendment; SJ 608) revise certain fees pertaining to seed permits and nursery certificates of inspection.
HB 1153 *    (Consideration of Senate amendments; SJ 637, 688, 689) revise the elements of the crime of indecent exposure involving a child and to broaden the application of the public indecency and indecent exposure statutes.
HB 1176 *    (Consideration of Senate amendment; SJ 643) clarify unemployment benefits.
     Revise the earnings requirement for the purpose of receiving unemployment insurance benefits.
HB 1241 *    (Consideration of Senate amendment; SJ 584) provide for the delivery of special education or special education and related services to a child during the child's transition from one state school district to another.
     Clarify that certain special education placements are not suspensions or expulsions.
HB 1260 *    (Consideration of Senate amendments; SJ 609) require that a request for proposals be issued for certain state contracts for professional services.



CONSIDERATION OF REPORTS OF CONFERENCE COMMITTEES

HB 1239     (HJ 736) create the South Dakota Boxing Commission and to provide for the supervision of boxing, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts competitions and sparring exhibitions in the state.

HB 1091     make an appropriation to initiate a master of social work degree program in higher education.

HC 1028     (HJ 36th LD) Honoring the Sioux Falls Roosevelt High School Volleyball Team and the students involved in the program for winning the 2008 State Class AA Volleyball Championship.
HC 1029     (HJ 36th LD) Honoring the Sioux Falls Roosevelt High School Girls' Cross Country Team and the students involved in the program for winning the 2008 Girls' State Class AA Cross Country Meet.
