         SB 19     authorize the sale of a tract of land in Brookings County, South Dakota, to provide for the disposition and appropriation of the sale proceeds, to authorize and appropriate other funds to the Board of Regents to purchase property for agricultural experiment station research, and to declare an emergency.
             The Committee on Appropriations at the request of the Board of Regents

         SB 20     authorize the Board of Regents to dispose of certain structures located at the Agricultural Experiment Station Beef Nutrition and Dairy Units in Brookings County, to construct cattle feed preparation and silage storage facilities at the Beef Nutrition Unit, and to make an appropriation therefor.

         SB 21     make an appropriation to the Board of Regents to defray increased utility costs at Black Hills State University and at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and to declare an emergency.

         SB 243     establish a regents scholars program and to make an appropriation therefor.

         SB 102*     revise certain provisions regarding the eligibility of Board of Regents' employees.
             Senators Staggers, Brown (Arnold), Koetzle, McIntyre, and Sutton (Dan) and Representatives Clark, Begalka, Elliott, Hennies (Don), Kooistra, Lange, Madsen, Nesselhuf, Smidt, and Teupel

         SB 101*     require sales and use tax paid to be deducted from the gross receipts to determine the contractors' excise tax.
             Senators Staggers, Apa, and Koetzle and Representatives Teupel, Begalka, Hennies (Don), Kooistra, McCoy, and Monroe

         SB 14*     create the South Dakota teacher forgivable loan program and to appropriate money therefor.
             Senators Brosz, Diedrich (Larry), Everist, Hutmacher, McIntyre, Munson, and Reedy and Representatives Juhnke, Brown (Richard), Heineman, and Pummel at the request of the Interim Education Committee


NOTE: The above bills will be taken up in this order for a hearing on the date noted. If circumstances do not permit a hearing on this date then a hearing will be held at a future meeting of the committee to be determined by the chair. Action on a bill may come at any time after it has had a hearing.

BILLS FOR POSSIBLE ACTION WHICH HAVE HAD PRIOR HEARING.

         SB 178     appropriate funds for distribution to the counties to replace the state inheritance tax revenue.
             Senators de Hueck, Dennert, Duxbury, Hutmacher, Koetzle, and McIntyre and Representatives Slaughter, Bartling, Flowers, Juhnke, Lange, Pederson (Gordon), Sutton (Duane), and Van Gerpen

         SB 176     clarify the purposes for which funds in the special racing revolving fund and South Dakota-bred racing fund may be used.

         SB 51     transfer funds from the special racing revolving fund and the South Dakota-bred racing fund to the Department of Social Services for domestic and sexual abuse shelter programs and to make an appropriation therefor.

         SB 52     increase an appropriation from the children's trust fund and to repeal a statute that terminates an additional charge for birth records that is deposited in the fund.

         SB 61     authorize the state historical society board of trustees to set fees for copies of the surveyor general's records and to provide for the disposition of such fees.
             The Committee on State Affairs at the request of the Department of Education and Cultural Affairs

         SB 69     appropriate money to the state fair.
             Senators Volesky, Dennert, Duxbury, Hagen, Hutmacher, Koetzle, Moore, Reedy, Sutton (Dan), and Symens and Representatives Flowers, Hansen (Tom), and Van Norman

         SB 157     require the Department of Corrections to seek accreditation by the American Correctional Association, to make an appropriation therefor, and to declare an emergency.
