         HB 1111     allow certain persons to teach secondary education without a teaching certificate.
             Representatives McCaulley, Begalka, Eccarius, Frost, Garnos, Hennies (Don), Jaspers, Jensen, Juhnke, Koistinen, Lintz, McCoy, Monroe, Napoli, Smidt, and Wick and Senators Greenfield, Apa, Diedtrich (Elmer), McCracken, and Staggers

         HB 1197     nullify certain increases in high school graduation requirements.
             Representatives Van Gerpen, Begalka, Brown (Jarvis), Fryslie, Hargens, Kooistra, Napoli, and Peterson (Jim) and Senators Moore and Staggers

         HB 1291     provide for additional compensation for teachers providing teaching services using the Digital Dakota Network.
             The Committee on Education at the request of the Governor

         HB 1268     create a teacher mentor program and to make an appropriation therefor.
             Representatives Heineman, Brown (Richard), Eccarius, Garnos, Hennies (Don), Juhnke, McCoy, Peterson (Bill), Smidt, and Wick and Senators Everist, Ham, and McCracken

         HB 1228     provide for the suspension of driving privileges of certain students who are truant or who have been suspended or expelled from school.

NOTE: The above bills will be taken up in this order for a hearing on the date noted. If circumstances do not permit a hearing on this date then a hearing will be held at a future meeting of the committee to be determined by the chair. Action on a bill may come at any time after it has had a hearing.
