     The House convened at 2:00 p.m., pursuant to adjournment, the Speaker presiding.

     The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Pastor Jerry Oberg, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by House page Sarah Gronewold.

     Roll Call: All members present except Rep. Valandra who was excused.

APPROVAL OF THE JOURNAL


MR. SPEAKER:

     The Committee on Legislative Procedure respectfully reports that the Chief Clerk of the House has had under consideration the House Journal of the second day.

     All errors, typographical or otherwise, are duly marked in the temporary journal for correction.

     And we hereby move the adoption of the report.

MR. SPEAKER:

    Your Joint-Select Committee appointed relative to securing chaplains for the Seventy-sixth Legislative Session respectfully reports:

    We have conferred with the Pierre Ministerial Association and have arranged for ministers to participate on a part-time basis under the direction of Pastor Geraldine C. King, Resurrection Lutheran Church, as chief chaplain, to serve the Senate and House as chaplains throughout the Seventy-sixth session of the Legislature. The ministers are as follows:

     Rep. Duenwald moved that the report of the Joint-Select Committee relative to making arrangements for the legislative days for the Seventy-sixth Legislative Session as found on page 35 of the House Journal be adopted.

     Rep. Juhnke moved that the report of the Joint-Select Committee relative to legislative printing and distribution of bills and journals for the Seventy-sixth Legislative Session as found on pages 35 and 36 of the House Journal be adopted.
