HB 1240 *    (Intent to reconsider vote by which passed) prohibit smoking tobacco or carrying lighted tobacco products in certain places and to require certain persons to inform violators of the prohibition.
SB 17 *    (Consideration of House Amendment, HJ 432, 588 ) revise certain driver licensing provisions.
SCR 7     (SJ 32nd LD) Requesting the State of Nebraska to provide tax relief and amnesty for certain South Dakota trucking companies.
SCR 8     (SJ 32nd LD) urging the members of the State Streamlined Sales Tax Governing Board to amend its treatment of certain food coupons, certificates, and other documentation as gross receipts.
HCR 1013     (HJ 579) Reasserting sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over certain powers and serving notice to the federal government to cease and desist certain mandates.

HB 1036 *     revise the uniform commercial code.
     Require the redaction of certain numbers before furnishing copies of information.
HB 1253 *    revise certain provisions regarding administration of the catastrophic county poor relief fund.
HB 1263     revise certain provisions concerning compensation for service rights of electric utilities in areas annexed by municipalities.

SECOND READING OF HOUSE BILLS AND JOINT RESOLUTIONS

HB 1037     increase the fees for mailing motor vehicle license plates and decals and to impose a fee for the reassignment of a license plate.
HB 1060 *    revise certain provisions regarding the mortgage lender business and to provide for fees and penalties related thereto.
HB 1071 *    revise certain fees, licenses, and other requirements for milk plants and dairy farms.
HB 1074 *    increase certain expenditure authority previously granted to the Board of Regents, to designate circumstances in which such authority may be used, to appropriate funds therefor, and to declare an emergency.
HB 1091 *    make an appropriation to initiate a master of social work degree program in higher education.
HB 1140 *    make an appropriation from the railroad trust fund for the construction of a railroad siding.
HB 1211     revise the time frame and requirements for certain alcoholic beverage licensees to provide on-sale service of alcoholic beverages on Sunday.
HB 1241 *     provide for the delivery of special education or special education and related services to a child during the child's transition from one state school district to another.
     Clarify that certain special education placements are not suspensions or expulsions.
HB 1254 *     revise the funding of elementary and secondary education and to increase the required minimum size of a school district.
     Revise the index factor in the state aid to education formula.
     Enhance education.
HB 1301 *    create the South Dakota Ellsworth Development Authority.

SC 16     (SJ 32nd LD) Congratulating Ryan Kocer for winning the 2008 ESPY Award for “Best Male Athlete With a Disability”.
SC 17     (SJ 32nd LD) Honoring the 2008 Chamberlain Girls' Cross Country Team and the students and staff involved in the girls' cross country program.
SC 18     (SJ 32nd LD) Commending and honoring the 2008-2009 Madison High School Lady Bulldogs Gymnastics Team for its fifteenth consecutive state championship title in Class A Gymnastics and for setting the national record for consecutive gymnastics state championships.
