Committee: House Retirement Laws
A study on equity issues was discussed by both houses. A sub-committee was formed to deal with
requests for proposals. This committee will consist of five members. The members are:
Representative Matthew Michels, Chair, Representative Kay Davis, Representative Larry Diedrich,
Representative Deb Fischer-Clemens and Senator Albers.
Timelines proposed: March 10th, the RFPs written and mailed out; April 1st, proposals back to
Legislative Research Council; April 7-10, conference call or meeting of sub-committee regarding
proposals and two finalists are chosen. Mid to late April, two firms present cases to Retirement
Laws and assignments awarded. May through August, Firm studies Retirement System. August,
Retirement Laws meeting to hear tentative report and give further direction to firm. October,
Retirement Laws meeting to hear final report.
