     On page 1 , delete lines 5 to 16 of the printed bill , inclusive , and insert:

"      7-26-7.   The board of county commissioners may regulate and maintain abandoned rural cemeteries. The regulation and maintenance shall include, but is not limited to, the mowing and cutting of weeds and grass, the repairing of fences and corrective measures relative to grave markers shall provide for the identification and cataloguing of any abandoned cemetery that is discovered and reported to the board of county commissioners . The board of county commissioners may appoint a cemetery board of directors consisting of residents of the county to manage abandoned cemeteries or may assign management as well as funding responsibilities to any interested organization or individual. The Such board shall have the same powers as nonprofit corporations as provided in §  47-22-55 and shall submit annual reports to the board of county commissioners on its activities. Funds necessary to carry out the provisions of this section may be appropriated from the county general fund. "
