     The Senate convened at 1:00 p.m., pursuant to adjournment, the President presiding.

     The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Pastor Genie Butler, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Senate page Abby Moore.

     The Committee on Legislative Procedure respectfully reports that the Secretary of the Senate has had under consideration the Senate Journal of the eighteenth day.

    WHEREAS, the above named served loyally as pages for the Senate of the Seventy-fifth Legislature; and

    WHEREAS, the members of the Seventy-fifth Senate express their most sincere appreciation to these young people for their service to the state; and

    WHEREAS, the members extend to these young people their wishes for every success in life:

    NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Senate of the Seventy-fifth Legislature of the State of South Dakota, that a personal copy of this resolution be duly certified and furnished to each on this last day of service.

     The Committee on State Affairs respectfully reports that it has had under consideration SB 184 and returns the same with the recommendation that said bill be amended as follows:

     On page 2 , line 10 of the printed bill , after " § 24-11-1. " insert " Such persons may be housed by the Department of Corrections inside Department of Corrections housing units subject to provisions of the agreement as provided for in this section and section 7 of this Act. "

     On page 2 , after line 18 , insert:

"     Section 9. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, and unless otherwise specified by agreement, a county, municipality, or any of its elected officials that enter into an agreement with the Department of Corrections for the care and maintenance of accused or convicted persons, as set forth in section 6 of this Act, shall have no further responsibility for the care and maintenance of such persons for such time that they are in the exclusive care and control of the department. "


     And that as so amended said bill do pass.

     The Department of Game, Fish and Parks shall honor any valid Golden Age card issued by the United States government in lieu of a park license at the following state recreation areas and state lakeside use areas: Indian Creek; Downstream (below Oahe Dam); North Point; American Creek; Randall Creek; Chief White Crane; Pierson Ranch; Spring/Cow Creek; Okobojo Point; Walth Bay; Spillway (Fort Randall Dam); Pease Creek; North Wheeler; Whetstone Bay; East Shore; Peoria Flats; West Shore; West Chamberlain; South Shore; Tailrace (Fort Randall Dam); and Revheim Park " .
