HB 1315*      create a Board of Regents Advisory Council.
          authorize use of special education funds for initiatives at the South Dakota School for the Blind and the Visually Impaired and the South Dakota School for the Deaf.

HB 1200*      require criminal background checks of school employees and to prohibit employment of certain persons in schools.

HB 1210*      modify contract renewal provisions for school district food service purchases and to declare an emergency.

HB 1249*      provide for the development and administration by the state of certain standardized academic achievement tests.
          Representatives Sutton (Daniel), Crisp, Davis, Fischer-Clemens, Garnos, Haley, Kooistra, McIntyre, Nachtigal, and Wilson and Senators Olson, Dennert, Reedy, and Staggers

NOTE: The above bills will be taken up in this order for a hearing on the date noted. If circumstances do not permit a hearing on this date then a hearing will be held at the next meeting of the committee. Action on a bill may come at any time after it has had a hearing.
