HB 1249      to provide for the development and administration by the state of certain standardized academic achievement tests.
          Representatives Sutton (Daniel), Crisp, Davis, Fischer-Clemens, Garnos, Haley, Kooistra, McIntyre, Nachtigal, and Wilson and Senators Olson, Dennert, Reedy, and Staggers

HB 1258      to require the teaching of foreign language at the middle school grade level.
          Representatives Fitzgerald, Garnos, McIntyre, and Patterson and Senators Lange, Lawler, and Reedy

HB 1269      to provide transportation aid to certain school districts.
          Representatives Koskan and Juhnke and Senators Bogue and Benson

HB 1316      to increase the penalty for possessing certain drugs near schools and certain other youth-oriented facilities.
          The Committee on State Affairs at the request of the Governor

NOTE: The above bills will be taken up in this order for a hearing on the date noted. If circumstances do not permit a hearing on this date then a hearing will be held at the next meeting of the committee. Action on a bill may come at any time after it has had a hearing.
