SECOND READING OF CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS
* Amended

HB 1050 *    revise the annual financial reporting requirements of insurance companies.
HB 1148     clarify requirements for employment of a city engineer.
HB 1214     remove certain speed restrictions for certain vehicles hauling agricultural products or livestock.
HB 1255 *    revise certain provisions concerning the telecommunications gross receipts tax.

SECOND READING OF HOUSE BILLS AND JOINT RESOLUTIONS

HB 1215 *    (Deferred from the 29th LD) transfer funds from the tax relief fund to the general fund and to revise certain provisions concerning the effective date of the collection allowance.
HB 1024 *    authorize the Department of Transportation to regulate the operation of off-road vehicles in certain state highway ditches.



HB 1090 *     schedule certain controlled substances and to declare an emergency.
     Prohibit the possession of Salvia divinorum and to declare an emergency.
     Prohibit the possession of Salvia divinorum or salvinorin A and to declare an emergency.
HB 1118 *    revise the type of slot machines that may be owned or leased by the City of Deadwood.
HB 1159 *    provide for the adjustment of prices in certain public contracts.
HB 1184 *    clarify provisions dealing with the initiative process.
HB 1228     require mopeds used on public highways to be titled and licensed as a motorcycle and to increase license fees for motorcycles.
HB 1233     revise certain provisions regarding the campaign finance reporting of the expenditures of certain organizations.

LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATIONS

SC 13     (SJ 29th LD) Honoring Malcom Chapman of Rapid City as the 2008 winner of the South Dakota Municipal League Excellence in Municipal Government Award.
HC 1013     (HJ 544) Commending and honoring Joanne Groves, a member of the Huron School District Board, on her selection as the 2008-2009 Outstanding School Board Member of South Dakota.
HC 1014     (HJ 544) Commending youth mentoring programs across the state.
HC 1015     (HJ 545) Commending and honoring the South Dakota Home Builders Association, their one thousand eight hundred members, and their eight local affiliated associations on their thirtieth anniversary, including the Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire, the Black Hills Home Builders Association, the Aberdeen Home Builders Association, the Watertown Home Builders Association, the Brookings Home Builders Association, the Lewis and Clark Home Builders Association, the Mitchell Home Builders Association, and the Oahe Home Builders Association.
