MOTIONS AND RESOLUTIONS

HCR 1006     (HJ 183) Encouraging all South Dakota schools to place a sufficient number of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in their facilities, at their athletic fields, and with their athletic staff, and to adopt a medical emergency response plan that includes AED use.

HB 1155 *    require that the testing of blood samples of suspects of sexual assault be initiated within a specified time.
HB 1093     revise the boundaries of the James River Water Development District.
HB 1231     increase the exemption on the proceeds of the sale of certain homesteads.
HB 1214     remove certain speed restrictions for certain vehicles hauling agricultural products or livestock.

HB 1215 *    (Deferred from 19th LD) transfer funds from the tax relief fund to the general fund.



HB 1233    (Deferred from 19th LD) revise certain provisions regarding the campaign finance reporting of the expenditures of certain organizations.
HB 1282     (Deferred from 19th LD) allow counties to assign the responsibility for the redemption of bonded indebtedness of a former school district to a new school district after a reorganization.
HB 1150     (Deferred from 19th LD) revise certain requirements for any person to sell motorcycles at an event and to provide a penalty for violation thereof.
HB 1158     (Deferred from 19th LD) revise certain provisions relating to private placement policies.
HB 1203     (Deferred from 19th LD) limit asbestos-related liabilities for certain successor corporations.
HB 1239 *    create the South Dakota Boxing Commission and to provide for the supervision of boxing, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts competitions and sparring exhibitions in the state.
HB 1080 *    revise certain provisions relating to internet and mail order sales of cigarettes and tobacco products.
HB 1123 *    remove certain sanctions related to public assistance for certain felony drug offenders.
HB 1104     authorize a sentencing court to impose consecutive revocations of hunting, fishing, or trapping privileges under certain conditions.

SECOND READING OF SENATE BILLS AND JOINT RESOLUTIONS

SB 1     clarify, repeal, update, and make form and style revisions to certain statutes related to the Department of Game, Fish and Parks.
SB 51     provide for a drug screening program for certain applicants and employees of the Wildland Fire Suppression Division.

LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATIONS

SC 7     (SJ 347) Commending the 2008 Yankton High School Bucks Boys' Cross Country Team for winning the state title in the Class AA State Cross Country Meet for the fourth consecutive year.
SC 8     (SJ 347) Honoring Earv Archambeau, son of Rita and the late Merv Archambeau of Avon, South Dakota, for his outstanding accomplishments as a high school athlete.
