On page 1, line 1, of the Senate Education bill, delete "enhance education in South Dakota" and insert "provide a transfer of funds for critical teaching needs scholarships"
On the Senate Education bill, delete everything after the enacting clause and insert:
"
Section 1. On July 1, 2020, the state treasurer shall transfer from the general fund the sum of one million one hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($1,125,000) to the education enhancement trust fund. The earnings attributable to the amount transferred must be used to increase funds available for the issuance of critical teaching needs scholarships, in accordance with chapter 13-55.
