An Act to make an appropriation for rapid future enrollment increases to support the expansion of Ellsworth Airforce Base.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the general fund the sum of one dollar ($1) ten million dollars ($10,000,000), or so much thereof as may be necessary, to assist with rapid enrollment increases the Douglas School District, for the purpose of potential future federal allocations to be used for the expansion of schools near Ellsworth Air Force Base.

Section 2. The secretary of the Department of Education shall approve vouchers and the state auditor shall draw warrants to pay expenditures authorized by this Act.

Section 3. Any amounts appropriated in this Act not lawfully expended or obligated by June 30, 2021 2023 shall revert in accordance with the procedures described chapter 4-8.
