An Act to prohibit commercial surrogacy contracts and provide a penalty for facilitating a commercialestablish an interim legislative committee to study and evaluate surrogacy.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

Section 1. There is hereby established an interim legislative committee to study and evaluate surrogacy in South Dakota. The legislative study established in this section shall be under the supervision of the Executive Board of the Legislative Research Council and staffed and funded as an interim legislative committee.
