MOTIONS AND RESOLUTIONS

SB 38 *    (Intent to reconsider vote by which passed) require school districts to keep contiguous
boundaries when reorganizing.

SB 68 *    (Intent to reconsider vote by which passed) authorize the establishment, operation, and control of research parks on state land.

SECOND READING OF CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS

HB 1029     modify the requirements for a filing of a consent to rate for property casualty insurance.
HB 1044     define a multidistrict, career and technical academy and to provide provisions for the establishment of such an academy.
HB 1045     repeal the provisions for the South Dakota Academic Achievement Test Advisory Council.
HB 1046     revise the eligibility requirements for the Richard Hagen-Minerva Harvey memorial scholarship award.
HB 1085     revise certain provisions concerning magistrate judge jurisdiction.



SECOND READING OF SENATE BILLS AND JOINT RESOLUTIONS

SB 47     (Deferred from 10th LD) appropriation for costs related to suppression of wildfires in the state and to declare an emergency.
SB 48     (Deferred from 10th LD) make an appropriation for costs related to disasters in the state and to declare an emergency.
SB 88     rescind the repeal on funding for sparse school districts that will take effect on June 30, 2009.

SC 4     (SJ 12th LD) Honoring Greg Smeenk of Newell, South Dakota, for being named Top Selling Agent among realtors in the Northern Black Hills.
