MOTION:    TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF MARCH 2, 2017

MOTION:    Representative Haugaard moved that the committee submit a letter to South Dakota's congressional delegation and to the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services urging that rules be changed to allow persons age 16-18 who work in long-term care facilities to operate certain equipment that they are currently prohibited from operating. This would hopefully help to relieve some of the workforce challenges that long-term facilities in South Dakota currently face.
