REPORT OF HOUSE SELECT COMMITTEE

MR. SPEAKER:

    Your Select Committee on Discipline and Expulsion respectfully reports that it has had under investigation the conduct of Representative Mathew Wollmann, and has terminated further investigation due to the resignation of Representative Mathew Wollmann, which has removed him from the jurisdiction of the Select Committee and the House of Representatives; and after due deliberation, recommends that the House of Representatives do now endorse the finding of the Select Committee that sexual contact between a legislator and a legislative intern is conduct unbecoming a legislator, and as such, violates Joint Rule 1B-1 of the Legislative Code of Conduct.

    55-1-20. Subject to the provisions of §§ 55-1-21 and 55-1-22, a trust may be performed if the trust is for a specific lawful noncharitable purpose or for lawful noncharitable purposes to be selected by the trustee. Neither the common law rule against perpetuities nor any common law rule limiting the duration of noncharitable purpose trusts is in force in this state. ".
