    BE IT REMEMBERED, That on the thirteenth day of January, A.D., two thousand fifteen, at the hour of twelve o'clock meridian, being the date and hour fixed by the Constitution of the State of South Dakota, for the convening of the Legislature, the Ninetieth regular session of the Senate of the State of South Dakota was called to order by Lieutenant Governor Matt Michels in the Senate Chamber in the Capitol, in the City of Pierre, the seat of our government.

    The following prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Rev. Paul Bly, Pierre/Ft. Pierre Ministerial Association:

    I would like to lead you in prayer today using a version of a brief prayer taught me by a Rabbi friend of mine:

    Our dear Father in heaven, most holy is your name. May your holy reign be ushered in among us right here today, that your will may be done among us, as we seek to be more and more like you.

    Lord, give every one of us enough to live on, and forgive us when we take too much for ourselves just as we forgive those who sin against us.

    Lord, the temptations of this world are many, even here. Please don't leave us alone to withstand them, but deliver us from evil.

    For the Sovereign power and glory are yours, and not our own. May you be praised now and forever. Amen.

    FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to finance improvements on the public highways and bridges by establishing or increasing the motor vehicle excise tax, taxes on fuel, motor vehicle registration fees, and wheel taxes, to provide for the distribution of certain revenue, and to establish certain state and local planning and reporting requirements concerning the condition of public highways and bridges.
