Almighty and everlasting God, we thank You for this day as we gather for the beginning
of the 2014 Legislative Session. We give You thanks for the men and women who gather here
this day and the days to come. We ask that You grant them wisdom, patience, and insight as
they gather and work for the common good of the people of South Dakota. We thank You for
their willingness, gifts, talents, and perspectives. We ask that all who come together to do this
important work would have safe travels, good health, and Your wisdom. In Your name we pray.
