An Act to limit the amount of money that a candidate campaign committee, political action committee, or political party may accept from an authorized committee of a candidate for federal office.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:
Section 1. That a NEW SECTION be added to chapter 12-27:
A candidate campaign committee, political action committee, or political party organized pursuant to this chapter may not accept any contribution or loan from an authorized committee of a candidate for federal office, as defined in 52 U.S.C. § 30101, et seq. (January 1, 2025), if the amount of the contribution, loan, or combination of the contribution and loan, exceeds ten thousand dollars in a given year.
