An Act to make an appropriation for a grant to the Douglas school district for the construction costs of a new school.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the general fund the sum of $15,000,000 $5,000,000 to the Department of Education, for purposes of providing a grant to the Douglas school district for the design, engineering, construction, or any other costs related to the construction of a new school.

Section 2. The secretary of the Department of Education shall approve vouchers and the state auditor shall draw warrants to pay expenditures authorized by this Act.

Section 3. Any amounts appropriated in this Act not lawfully expended or obligated shall revert in accordance with the procedures prescribed in chapter 4-8.

Section 4. This Act is effective June 30, 2024.
