    Section 6. That chapter 37-30 be amended by adding thereto a NEW SECTION to read as follows:

    No person may use an automated telephone dialing system to make a telephone solicitation to any phone number in the state if the purpose of the call is to communicate any message about a political candidate or ballot issue unless a live operator first asks for the called person's consent to play the automated recording. The live operator shall inform the called person of the caller's identity, the entity paying for the call, and the caller's phone number and mailing address. A violation of this section is a Class 2 misdemeanor.".

    § 6. The terms of office of the members of the Legislature shall be two four years; they. Legislators shall receive for their services the salary fixed by law under the provisions of § 2 of article XXI of this Constitution, and five cents for every mile of necessary travel in going to and returning from the place of meeting of the Legislature on the most usual route.

    No person may serve more than four two consecutive terms or a total of eight ten consecutive years in the senate and, whichever is longer. No person may serve more than four two consecutive terms or a total of eight ten consecutive years in the house of representatives, whichever is longer. However, this restriction does not apply to partial terms to which a legislator may be appointed.

    A regular session of the Legislature shall be held each year and shall not exceed forty legislative days, excluding Sundays, holidays and legislative recess, except in cases of impeachment, and members of the Legislature shall receive no other pay or perquisites except salary and mileage.
."
