An Act to revise membership of the Medical Marijuana Oversight Committee.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

Section 1. That § 34-20G-92 be AMENDED:

34-20G-92. The Executive Board of the Legislative Research Council shall appoint an oversight committee comprised of:

(1) one One member of the House of Representatives who is serving on the standing committee on health and human services,;

(2) one One member of the Senate who is serving on the standing committee on health and human services, ;

(3) one One Division of Criminal Investigation agent, ;

(4) one One staff member from the Office of the Attorney General,;

(5) two representativesOne representative of local law enforcement,;

(6) one One member with drug investigation experience, ;

(7) one One school resource officer, ;

(8) one One representative from the department, Department of Health;

(9) One representative from the Department of Public Safety; one practitioner with experience in medical cannabis issues, one nurse,

(10) Two physicians;

(11) One drug counselor;

(12) One member of a parent organization;

(13) One mayor from a rural municipality with a population less than twenty thousand;

(14) One mayor from an urban municipality with a population greater than twenty thousand;

(15) one One board member or principal officer of a cannabis testing facility, one person with experience in policy development or implementation in the field of medical cannabis,;

(16) One person from a cannabis dispensary and three; and

(17) One qualifying patientspatient.
