On page 3, after line 20, of the Introduced bill, insert: "
Section 9. That chapter 13-32 be amended with a NEW SECTION:
If a lawsuit is brought or a complaint is filed against a school district, an employee of a school district, the board of a school district, or a board member, as a result of the district implementing sections 2, 3, 5, or 6 of this Act, the attorney general shall provide legal representation, at no cost to the school district, employee, board, or board member.
In addition to the expenses of representation, the state shall assume financial responsibility for any other related expenses incurred by the school district, an employee, the board, or a board member, including any award for monetary damages, attorney's fees, and costs for which the school district, an employee, the board, or a board member would be otherwise responsible."
