AMENDMENT 185D FOR THE SENATE COMMERCE AND
ENERGY BILL

An Act to
make an
appropriation to
provide for an economic development in South Dakota
the
Board of Technical Education to purchase and renovate certain real
property, and
to declare an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:
Section 1. There
is hereby appropriated from the general fund the sum of $15,000,000
$7,500,000 to the Governor's
Office of Economic DevelopmentBoard
of Technical Education, for the purposes
of making grants
to any industrial development corporation that is going to make
infrastructure improvements in industrial parks in South Dakota
purchasing and making necessary renovations to the following real
property:.
(1) Known as the New Tech High building: N 1/2 Lot 1 of Vocational Technical 2nd Add'n to City of Sioux Falls, Minnehaha County, South Dakota.
Section 2. The
commissioner of
the Governor's Office of Economic Development executive
director of the Board of Technical Education shall approve vouchers
and the state auditor shall draw warrants to pay expenditures
authorized by this Act. No bonds will be issued for the purpose
authorized by this Act.
Section 3. Any
amounts appropriated in this Act not lawfully expended or obligated
by June 30, 20222025,
shall revert in accordance with the procedures prescribed in chapter
4-8.
Section 4. Whereas, this Act is necessary for the support of the state government and its existing public institutions, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
