HB1098 CONTINUED FROM THE FEBRUARY 10, 2011 MEETING.            
        HB1098 was amended at the February 10, 2011 meeting.

        HB 1098: revise the limitation on the increases and decreases that may be made to the total taxable value of cropland and noncropland.

On page 1 of the House engrossed bill, delete lines 5 to 15, inclusive, and insert:

"    10-6-77. For the taxes payable in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017, the total taxable value of cropland within any county may not increase or decrease more than ten;

            (1)    Ten percent in any year, if the county is less than forty-five percent from its full agricultural income value; and

            (2)    Fifteen percent in any year, if the county is forty-five percent or more from its full agricultural income value.

    For the taxes payable in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017, the total taxable value of noncropland within any county may not increase or decrease more than ten:

            (1)    Ten percent in any year, if the county is less than forty-five percent from its full agricultural income value; and

            (2)    Fifteen percent in any year, if the county is forty-five percent or more from its full agricultural income value. ".

On page 2, delete lines 1 to 5, inclusive.
