MOTIONS AND RESOLUTIONS

         SCR 9    (SJ 31st LD) Requesting the United States Forest Service to maintain and improve soil and vegetative cover throughout the National Grasslands located in the State of South Dakota by allowing the use of rodenticides for the management of the prairie dog population prior to reduction of other currently existing multiple uses of the National Grasslands.

         HB 1067*    (Removed from Consent Calendar) revise certain reversion provisions regarding an appropriation to the South Dakota Energy Infrastructure Authority.
         HB 1141* (Deferred from 31st LD) create the health and safety facility equity program to assist certain school districts with critical need for capital construction.
         HB 1145*    (Deferred from 31st LD) revise certain provisions concerning utility right-of-way maintenance.




         HB 1189*    (Deferred from 31st LD) require certain children to be in booster seats when in motor vehicles.
         HB 1196*    (Deferred from 31st LD) provide for notice and opportunity to remedy residential construction defects.
         HB 1205*    (Deferred from 31st LD) provide funds to the state technical institutes.
         HB 1279*    (Deferred from 31st LD) create a task force to study permanent funding options for the state technical institutes, to provide for its composition, and to declare an emergency.
         HB 1138*    appropriate money to postsecondary technical institutes for the maintenance and repair of buildings.
         HB 1139*     define the status of principal in the education enhancement trust fund and the health care trust fund.

         HB 1140    require an annual adjustment to the general fund levies of a school district by reducing local effort by nine million dollars from funds deposited in the property tax reduction fund from the tax on cigarettes and other tobacco products.

         HB 1246*     appropriate money to pay for the development of certain vocational education courses that can be taken by high school students via distance learning.
              Make an appropriation for the costs related to the intensive methamphetamine treatment program in the women's state correctional system.
         HB 1258*     appropriate money for the Black Hills Area Chapter of the American Red Cross.
              Create an intensive methamphetamine treatment program and revise the General Appropriations Act for fiscal year 2007, and to declare an emergency.
         HB 1262    revise certain provisions regarding property tax exemptions for certain power generation facilities.
         HB 1266*    allow a home school student to partially enroll in the student's resident school district or in another school district under certain circumstances and to clarify certain testing requirements for students who are partially enrolled.
         HB 1271*     make an appropriation to reimburse counties for the cost of the 2008 presidential primary.
              Create a drug court program in the Unified Judicial System and make an appropriation therefor.

         SC 19    (SJ 31st LD) Honoring the town of Hayti, South Dakota, on its centennial celebration.
         HC 1012    (HJ p.626) Honoring the friends and citizens of Lake Norden during their town's one hundredth anniversary.
