MOTIONS AND RESOLUTIONS

         HCR 1006    (HJ p.322) Encouraging the Board of Regents to approve the creation of a Mandarin Chinese major curriculum at Northern State University.

         SECOND READING OF CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS

         HB 1225    revise the title of the coordinated soil and water conservation fund and coordinated soil and water conservation plan.
         HB 1265    revise certain provisions defining renewable energy and recycled energy.

         SECOND READING OF HOUSE BILLS AND JOINT RESOLUTIONS
         * Refer to Daily Reader for engrossed (amended) bill

         HB 1172*    (Removed from Consent Calendar) clarify certain limits placed on persons lending money.
         HB 1058*    (Deferred from 28th LD) revise certain provisions related to the placement of juveniles under the jurisdiction of the Department of Corrections.
         HB 1286*    (Deferred from 28th LD) require that records of archaeological sites be maintained and to provide that certain records remain confidential.
         HB 1017    make an appropriation from the coordinated soil and water conservation fund to the State Conservation Commission.
         HB 1076    make an appropriation for costs related to disasters in the state and to declare an emergency.



         HB 1174*    increase the maximum amount for which used motor vehicles may be sold or transferred to be exempt from excise tax.
         HB 1241*    allow the Board of Regents to sell certain used computers through university bookstores and to declare an emergency.
         HB 1245    make appropriations from the water and environment fund, the environment and natural resources fee fund, the water pollution control revolving fund subfund, and the drinking water revolving fund subfund for various water and environmental purposes, to revise the state cost share for the Lewis and Clark Rural Water System, and to declare an emergency.
         HB 1256    revise the General Appropriations Act for fiscal year 2007 regarding appropriations to the Office of School and Public Lands, and to declare an emergency.
         HB 1277    allow temporary contractual agreements between certain school districts to exist for an additional year.
