         SB 80     increase the fees permitted to recover reasonable costs and expenses on dishonored checks.
             Senators McCracken, Albers, Apa, Gant, Gray, Hansen (Tom), Maher, Napoli, Peterson (Jim), and Smidt and Representatives Rounds, Carson, Krebs, Lust, Moore, Novstrup (Al), Pederson (Gordon), Peters, Rave, Street, Tidemann, and Weems

         SB 44     require the conduct of criminal background checks for certain persons employed by the Division of Banking.
             The Committee on Commerce at the request of the Department of Revenue and Regulation

         SB 45     repeal the authority for state chartered savings and loan associations.
             The Committee on Commerce at the request of the Department of Revenue and Regulation

         SB 46     clarify the tax exempt and licensure status of fraternal benefit societies.
             The Committee on Commerce at the request of the Department of Revenue and Regulation

         SB 47*     prevent illegal multiple employer welfare arrangements and other illegal health insurers.
             The Committee on Commerce at the request of the Department of Revenue and Regulation

NOTE: The above bills will be taken up in this order for a hearing on the date noted. If circumstances do not permit a hearing on this date then a hearing will be held at a future meeting of the committee to be determined by the chair. Action on a bill may come at any time after it has had a hearing.
