         SB 116     provide a legislative deadline for the adoption of the budget for the Department of Education.
             Senators Heidepriem, Bartling, Hoerth, Hundstad, Jerstad, Katus, Kloucek, Koetzle, Maher, Nesselhuf, Peterson (Jim), Turbak, and Two Bulls and Representatives Hargens, Bradford, Burg, Dennert, Elliott, Engels, Feinstein, Gassman, Gillespie, Glenski, Halverson, Lucas, Miles, Nygaard, Sigdestad, Street, and Thompson

         SB 117     increase general funding for school districts, to impose a temporary limit on the growth of state general fund spending, and to suspend the transfer of moneys from the general fund to the budget reserve fund, and to the property tax reduction fund.

         SB 157     revise the state aid to education formula and to create a teacher compensation assistance program.
             Senators Knudson, Abdallah, Albers, Bartling, Dempster, Garnos, Gray, Hansen (Tom), Hanson (Gary), Hauge, Heidepriem, Hunhoff, Jerstad, Koetzle, McCracken, Nesselhuf, Olson (Ed), and Peterson (Jim) and Representatives McLaughlin, Ahlers, Cutler, Gassman, Gillespie, Glenski, Halverson, Hargens, Jerke, Kirkeby, Krebs, Miles, Moore, Olson (Russell), Peters, Pitts, Steele, Tidemann, Vehle, and Willadsen

         SB 203     require an annual adjustment from funds deposited in the property tax reduction fund from the tax on cigarettes and other tobacco products to the general fund levies of a school district by reducing local effort by nine million dollars.

If circumstances do not permit a hearing on this date then a hearing will be held at a future meeting of the committee to be determined by the chair. Action on a bill may come at any time after it has had a hearing.

         SB 69     revise the funding of K-12 education in the state.

         SB 174     provide increased state aid to education to those school districts that achieve or strive to achieve a certain attendance level and graduation rate.
