         HB 1106     allow a school district to give priority to certain students who apply for open enrollment.
             Representatives Buckingham and Van Etten and Senator Schmidt

         HB 1116     allow a school district to deny an application for open enrollment or to return an open- enrolled student to the resident district for disciplinary reasons.
             Representatives Dykstra, Faehn, Gillespie, Halverson, Krebs, McLaughlin, and Sigdestad and Senators Albers and Olson (Ed)

         HB 1149     prohibit the firing of a firearm at any school building, vehicle, or premises.
             Representatives Lucas, Ahlers, Bradford, DeVries, Elliott, Gassman, Gilson, Hills, McLaughlin, Novstrup (Al), Olson (Ryan), Thompson, and Weems and Senators Two Bulls, Hanson (Gary), Olson (Ed), and Peterson (Jim)

         HB 1198     repeal the implementation of prospective mandates that children attend kindergarten and that kindergarten programs be a minimum length.
             Representatives DeVries, Brunner, Davis, Hackl, Howie, and Olson (Betty) and Senators Greenfield, Duenwald, Maher, McNenny, and Schmidt (Dennis)

         HB 1215     require the South Dakota State Library to continue to circulate popular books to citizens.
             Representatives Van Norman, Bradford, Elliott, Sigdestad, and Thompson and Senator Kloucek

         HB 1219     prohibit sex offenders from entering certain school buildings or premises, to provide for waivers issued by school boards under certain circumstances, and to provide penalties for violations thereof.

NOTE: The above bills will be taken up in this order for a hearing on the date noted. If circumstances do not permit a hearing on this date then a hearing will be held at a future meeting of the committee to be determined by the chair. Action on a bill may come at any time after it has had a hearing.
