         HB 1061     make an appropriation to initiate a Mathematics and Science Academy.
             The Committee on Appropriations at the request of the Board of Regents

         HB 1113     add two nonvoting student members to the South Dakota Board of Education.
             Representatives Weems, Elliott, Heineman, Miles, Rounds, Thompson, Van Etten, and Willadsen and Senators Olson (Ed), Dempster, Gant, Garnos, Katus, Peterson (Jim), and Two Bulls

         SB 26     repeal certain provisions regarding the Advanced Reading Enhancement Program.
             The Committee on Education at the request of the Department of Education

         SB 27     repeal certain provisions regarding the Office of Educational Technology.
             The Committee on Education at the request of the Department of Education

         SB 28     revise certain provisions regarding the mileage allowance for transportation of children in need of special education or services.
             The Committee on Education at the request of the Department of Education

         SB 29     repeal the requirement to report the names of students who are deaf, blind, or visually impaired.
             The Committee on Education at the request of the Department of Education

NOTE: The above bills will be taken up in this order for a hearing on the date noted. If circumstances do not permit a hearing on this date then a hearing will be held at a future meeting of the committee to be determined by the chair. Action on a bill may come at any time after it has had a hearing.
