SECOND READING OF CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS
SB 12 revise certain provisions required to obtain an instruction permit to drive.
SB 16 prohibit advertising chiropractic services without first obtaining a license.
SB 17 require each applicant for licensure as a chiropractor in South Dakota or a licensee
who is the subject of a disciplinary investigation to submit to a state and federal
criminal background check.
SB 20 require a bachelor's degree for persons applying for a chiropractic license.
SB 23 revise certain exceptions from the definition of unsolicited telephone calls.
SB 24 update certain citations to federal regulations regarding the pipeline safety inspection
and to revise certain provisions regarding the assessment of pipeline inspection fees.

cigarette taxes.
SB 58 (Deferred from 5th LD) revise certain provisions regarding the South Dakota Energy

requirements and repeal the nursery school age requirement.
SB 40 (Removed from Consent Calendar) revise the distribution process for the bank
franchise tax.
SB 22* prohibit the filing of tariffs for certain telecommunications services and to impose
certain requirements regarding the availability of telecommunications services
information.
SB 35 revise certain provisions relating to the licensing and regulation of technical
professionals.
SB 38 define expansion of an existing building or structure for purposes of the tax refund
program for the construction of agricultural processing and new business facilities.
