SECOND READING OF CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS

         HB 1149*    revise certain felony and misdemeanor provisions not located in the criminal code.
         HB 1224    revise certain provisions regarding the prior approval of premium rates for certain health benefit plans.

         SECOND READING OF HOUSE BILLS AND JOINT RESOLUTIONS
         * Refer to Daily Reader for engrossed (amended) bill

         HB 1072    (Deferred from 25th LD)direct the Department of Social Services to establish the South Dakota long-term care partnership program.
         HB 1206*    (Deferred from 25th LD)) provide contractors' excise, sales, and use tax refunds for the filming of certain motion pictures, documentaries, television advertisements, or television films.
         HB 1027*    change the unemployment insurance wage base and contribution rates and to assess interest on negative employer accounts under certain circumstances.
         HB 1103*     appropriate money to postsecondary technical institutes.
              Appropriate money to postsecondary technical institutes for the maintenance and repair of buildings.



         HB 1157*    extend opportunity scholarship eligibility to South Dakota students who attend college or technical school out-of-state and then return to South Dakota to attend school.
         HB 1162*    provide for restitution to the state for expenses incurred in investigating false claims related to pesticide use.
         HB 1165*    establish a workers compensation small claims procedure.
         HB 1188    revise certain insurance liquidity provisions for private placement policies.
